Our house is situated on walking distance of the National Park the Hoge Veluwe on the northern boundary of the township Arnhem. The original house was constructed from wood and imported from Norway in the early 1900s, but destroyed by fire and rebuilt in stone in 1938 on the same place. The name of the house "Vildtgaard" refers to the first use of the wooden house as a hunting lodge.

The place is an ideal starting-point to make all kinds of excursions, walking, biking and horse-riding in this part of Holland with its woods, its river Rhein and the cultural attractions of Arnhem and around. Near the house you will find a horse riding-school and a tennis-court. You can start your walking-tours directly from the house and in the neighbourhood you will find two 18-holes golfcourses.

In our own house and in the cottage behind our house we handsomely appointed four guestrooms. Our house is set in the 7000m2 grounds garden. The cottage is situated on walking distance of the National Park the Hoge Veluwe on the northern boundary of the township Arnhem in the once independent village Schaarsbergen.
